Bad news: Late in the evening of June 20th I lost Frosty, my white kitchenfish. He had been struggling with a fungal infection and he wasn't a young betta anymore. Fortunately it was only a little over 24 hours that he was really sick so I didn't have to watch him suffer too much. The tank is currently empty but one of my new betta girls will ( Read more... )

Good news! My cousin Scott got the results back from his tests and full body scan, and there's no sign of cancer anywhere else! It looks like they got it all in the surgery when they removed his thyroid, and the following radiation seems to have taken care of any traces that were left. I had to go shopping for boring things like shampoo and makeup today, and darn if the department store wasn't right next to the PetCo where I got Ricky and Prince.
